Recently, we asked the creators of several YouTube channels devoted to reading creepypastas to recommend a favorite story of theirs. The first audiopasta that we want to share on Creep.ee is narrated by Let’s Read, and originates from a story first published back in 2015.
“A Favor for a Favor” is a dark tale about one man’s encounter with Old Scratch himself, and how the Devil earns the trust and then a favor from the storyteller during a dark moment in their life. When the wife of the narrator leaves him for another man, he falls into a deep depression and considers taking his own life. A knock on the door breaks the man’s concentration, which leads to a conversation with Dark One.
The channel creator of Let’s Read does a masterful job of building the suspense with his storytelling skills, and the tale itself is full of a few interesting twists on the premise of striking a deal with the Devil. If you are looking for a creepypasta story to listen to while tucked into your bed tonight, you have found the perfect way to ease into the realm of dreams, at the price of risking a nightmare or two.
