The Rising

The end of the world. We’ve seen in depicted by movies and TV shows so many times, and in many different ways. Some of the best creepypasta stories have used the end of the world or life post-apocalypse to explore unnerving corners of the human psyche.

The creators of “The Rising” have taken this approach in their short film. Set decades after an environmental collapse has reduced the world’s population and the survivors have retreated under the polluted surface, the film’s lead character is a clone who has been given the job to determine if the Earth’s surface is getting better or worse.
